The Great Ocean Road is the world's largest war memorial — three thousand returned soldiers carved it into the cliffs by hand. The drive crosses Wadawurrung and Gadubanud country, the volcanic plain at Red Rock, and the soldier-settlement farms, ending among the sea stacks at Port Campbell.
